Rivertree Academy

A private Christian school in the Historic Como neighborhood of Fort Worth, Rivertree Academy operates out of three buildings within a one square mile radius. Due to space restrictions, enrollment has been capped for several years – and building a community in three separate buildings is challenging.

Rivertree leaders have dreamed of having one building that will bring all students, faculty and staff together into one school community. A central campus will offer shared spaces for chapel, art, music and other wraparound services that Rivertree provides.

Our perspective:

M. Gale knew that great campaign management, backed by coaching and research, could give Rivertree Academy the funds they needed to start construction on a new campus, building a community and taking the school to new heights.

How we solved the challenge:

  • The M. Gale team conducted a Feasibility Study in 2021 that showed strong community support for Rivertree and its desire to build a new school.

  • A coaching engagement followed from M. Gale to help leadership prepare for key staffing transitions on the development team.

  • Planning and fundraising tools were developed and customized for the unique needs of Rivertree Academy. For example, the first several months focused on items needed to launch a campaign.

  • Over time, we consulted on ways to increase awareness for the project through events and key messages for the community.

  • Construction will begin soon after a successful $14 million campaign, backed by M. Gale’s campaign management services. Rivertree has also increased annual operating support for the school throughout the campaign.

  • We built strong relationships with the Rivertree team by including the same M. Gale team members for over 2 years.

Our client’s outcome:

The M. Gale team has been a partner to us throughout this process. Their partnership has given us the necessary tools and valuable capital campaign insight to see our campaign through to completion. With a keen eye for best practices and the ability to craft campaign infrastructure to fit our needs, we are grateful that we were able to work alongside M. Gale to reach our goals.
