Our Team

Leadership Team

  • Missy Gale, CFRE

    PRESIDENT and CEO

As our fearless founder, Missy puts her focus on people - volunteers, donors and the staff who give so selflessly. “My responsibility is to continually uplift my team’s collective experience, knowledge, and education to help others across the sector.” Missy takes special pride in seeing organizations grow their base of support and professionalize their operations over time, due to their dedication long after the initial M. Gale engagement. “Nonprofit organizations are owned by the community, and the community is its investors and shareholders. Collective involvement is the way to uplift any community and help it solve issues.”

Missy has built her perseverance muscle inside and outside of her career. At the age of 47, she learned to swim, bike and improved her running, leading her to complete over a dozen triathlons over the next 10 years.

  • Barbara Shelton, CFRE

    CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

With a background as a veteran fundraiser and consultant, Barbara loves her vocation in nonprofit work and is grateful for every client and work experience. At M. Gale, she is brave enough to tackle the big job of managing the entire team and overseeing all operations. “My work as a staff member and even more as a consultant have brought me sheer joy of possibility, and at times, a trove of messiness that if trust and determination are gathered, allows obstacles to become opportunities while generosity thrives.” Barbara holds professional certificates in planned giving, governance and transformation.

Outside of work, Barbara isn’t afraid to admit the truth - black jellybeans are the best.

    Relator, Achiever, Ideation, Self-Assurance, Connectedness

  • Laura Hutyra, CFRE

    VICE PRESIDENT

Results-driven leadership is the name of the game for Laura. As Vice President and a seasoned fundraising executive, Laura helps nonprofit clients throughout Texas and beyond solve challenges and meet their mission, while also leading the team in collaborative projects and operations to grow the company. Laura’s connection to philanthropy goes all the way back to her college years. “As a first-generation Aggie, I would not have received the education that I did were it not for philanthropy and the generosity of others through local foundation grants and school scholarships. So, when I returned home with my degree, I was inspired to use my talents and skills to make my own impact for good.”

If you meet with Laura at a coffee shop, lay off the beans - her daily caffeine of choice is hot tea.

  • Clint Riley, MA, MBA, CFRE

    DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE

Clint pursues his ultimate hope here at M. Gale: that his life brings value and positive change to his community, leaving it better than when he arrived. “As a nonprofit executive, I was fortunate to work in organizations pursuing missions strongly aligned with my personal values. After transitioning into consulting, I wondered if I might feel disconnected from this sense of purpose and mission alignment. Fortunately, I’ve learned that by engaging with organizations in this work and bringing my skills and expertise to bear, I continue to find meaning through a myriad of missions and programs delivering profound impact.“ Clint holds a professional certificate in nonprofit board consulting.

Clint has been fortunate to live and study abroad and learns about other cultures via cooking classes and (attempted) tango lessons!

  • Natalie Warrick

    CONSULTING SERVICES MANAGER

Natalie thrives on supporting those who support others. “I found joy and passion in making sure the organizations I worked with were equipped to provide the most meaningful help possible to those they cared for. I believe the stronger the foundation, the more stable the house, the more supported a guest feels.” Natalie does this by ensuring our deliverables reflect the incredible organizations we work with, by supporting our consultants and by ensuring our clients are 100% satisfied with our work.

Natalie is a proud mom of a chubby cat that enjoys mashed potatoes and (slow) evening walks.

  • Angel Theodore, CLC

    MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

Nonprofit work strongly aligns with Angel’s values – especially at M. Gale, where celebration and abundance are especially important. “As we partner with the nonprofit sector, we want to remind them to celebrate their wins. When it comes to abundance, we want to see how to achieve big goals by discovering new solutions and methods. In nonprofit, there is a mindset of scarcity, but it doesn’t have to be that way.” Angel’s success with philanthropic organizations started early in her career, when she was interviewed by USA Today at 24 for her involvement with a health-focused nonprofit.

When she’s not in the office, you might find Angel catching up on her favorite movie, Shrek – the perfect film for its witty satire and highlighting of how beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.

  • Barbara H. McColm, CFRE

    SENIOR CONSULTANT

Barbara has a special talent she discovered in her first fundraising job: the ability to take big ideas and make them operational. She uses this skill at M. Gale to learn about nonprofit causes and help them see possibilities to raise more money. “It is most satisfying as a consultant to see practices and ideas put in place that I assisted in starting or planning and watching them flourish for years to come.” Her experience ranges from four Ronald McDonald House capital campaigns to serving numerous Big Brothers Big Sisters organizations in multiple locations and states.

Outside of work, golf is Barbara’s recreational sport. She has had the good fortune of playing at the renowned Royal County Down Golf Club in Newcastle, Northern Ireland twice.

Through Tobie’s work as a senior consultant, she enjoys active listening, asking questions, writing, and communicating with clarity and care. “Consulting is very detailed and process-driven, yet also filled with grand goals and big, creative projects. It is so rewarding to see our work inspire clients as they forge new relationships, deepen community engagement, and achieve incredible successes.” From removing barriers to higher education for young students of promise to helping save the lives of transplant patients, Tobie believes every step in her professional journey has led her to M. Gale.

Tobie started her master’s degree as a working mother of three sons, achieving her audacious goal in two-and-a-half years.

To be a part of that effort is truly fulfilling. I enjoy getting to know an organization’s mission and values and see firsthand the impact they have on the community.”

Outside of work, Christina is passionate about all things theater – ballet, opera, symphony, concerts, and musicals! Ask her about which Broadway performance she’s seen 42 times.

  • Marc Mitrano, MLA

  • Chelsea Tibbitts

    CONSULTANT

Chelsea first saw the power of nonprofits when she interned at a PR firm, developing a passion for serving under-resourced communities. Since then, she’s achieved a lot, spending more than a decade in leadership roles in the nonprofit sector. “As a consultant at M. Gale, I want to meet the non-profit where they are at, strengthen the approach to their work, and ultimately, contribute to a deep impact in the communities that need us most.”

While Chelsea has many titles, her most important is Mom to her three school-aged daughters.

  • Melissa Prycer

    ASSOCIATE

The first half of Melissa’s nonprofit career focused on one cultural organization; now, Melissa is excited to continue that work on a broader scale. “Sometimes the needs are simple—getting a database going so that information about members, donors, and friends can be more easily tracked. Other times, it’s more complex—helping develop a strategic vision and figuring out the next, right steps.”

Melissa is most proud of her continued projects in the cultural and educational spaces. Speaking of education, Melissa isn’t afraid to crack open a book. She’s actually an expert on historic children’s literature, and has presented on the topic at an international conference.

  • Dwight Robarts, MA

    ASSOCIATE

With unique experience in faith- and community-based organizations, Dwight enjoys helping his community and the world by helping nonprofits thrive. “At M. Gale, we partner with many organizations that in one way or another are trying to make the world a better place. I am thrilled when I can help them become more effective in carrying out their particular mission.”

His dedication to investing in others goes beyond the workplace. Once a month, Dwight teaches personal money management skills to early release inmates at the county jail.

  • Craig Smith

    ASSOCIATE

Craig’s history with nonprofits started more than 30 years ago. He’s served in various leadership and development roles and led three organizations as president. "Philanthropy has had a hold on my life for a long time. Seeing the reward to the giver and the recipient is something I love to experience." With educational achievements at Abilene Christian University and Harvard Business School, Craig never stops learning.

Adventure is also on Craig’s mind – one of his favorite excursions was rafting the Nile River.
