As the largest homeless shelter in Tarrant County, Presbyterian Night Shelter serves approximately 650 men, women and children each night.

Presbyterian Night Shelter is a haven for Fort Worth’s homeless community, offering food, shelter and the opportunity to ignite their journey from homeless to home. The Shelter’s goal is to equip guests so they can successfully transition to a safe, stable, and independent lifestyle; we do this by providing access to critical services and resources through our programs and overnight emergency shelter.

Presbyterian Night Shelter is currently celebrating 35 years of service to those most in need in Tarrant County and looks to expand its continuum of services to move more individuals and families from homeless to home.

Job Summary – Vice President of Development

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Vice President (VP), Development serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting Presbyterian Night Shelter. In partnership with the CEO, this position is responsible for all fundraising and development activities and oversight of marketing, volunteers and public relations. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships to build Presbyterian Night Shelter’s visibility, impact, and financial resources.

Qualifications

We are seeking a proven leader with the ability to thrive professionally while addressing the unique challenges and opportunities associated with serving our guests. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and creative in their approach to help us build on and advance our work. The successful candidate will have at least eight – ten or more years of leadership experience to assure the strategic implementation and oversight management of the department, with preference given to experience in a human service-based organization, and CFRE. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree required.
